Park Hill Nursery is situated in a self-contained secure part of Sunningmead Community Centre, access is by key fobs so only staff can access our area, making us very secure. We have a lobby/kitchen area, a dual-purpose room for eating and sleeping. There is a large playroom divided into: a secure carpeted space for under twos to explore and play safely, a carpeted area which is divided into play zones, role play, book nook, a large train, construction for the older children. There is also a cushioned flooring area for more messy play to take place. We are lucky to have an enclosed courtyard garden again with different zones, sand/water play, mud kitchen, cars, large construction, troughs for growing herbs, vegetables, fruit and flowers and a table for games.

 

The nursery is easily accessible and entry into the building is controlled by an electronically locked door. The children are divided into age groups appropriate to them and will either be in our Hedgehog group (generally birth- 2 years) our Rabbit group (generally 2year olds) or our Squirrel room, (generally 3- 4 years).

Being situated on the grounds of Sunningmead Community Centre allows us access to their grassed area and playground,

We are also extremely lucky to have close access to the canal, several local parks and the old railway line in close proximity.
